Our Guarantee

The health of our Goldens and puppies are our top priority.  All of our adult Golden Retrievers are OFA certified/health tested for: Hips, elbows, heart and eyes.  Parents are genetically tested for:

PRCD-PRA, PRA 1, PRA 2, ICH 1, ICH 2, DM, NCL.  In addition, our veterinarian runs hyperthyroid panels on each of our adult dogs.

Our English Golden Retriever puppies come with the following:

  • Puppy exam by our veterinarian.

  • Vaccinations & dewormed appropriately by age.

  • 30 day medical coverage through Trupanion.

  • 2-year hip, elbow, heart and eye guarantee*

  • Limited AKC registration application.

  • Raised with Puppy Culture protocols.

  • Puppy gift bag – Includes information prepared by our family, a toy that has proven to be a favorite among our goldens and a food sample.

  • Lifetime support from our family to you and your God Given Golden.

 GOD GIVEN GOLDENS OVERVIEW:

  1. Puppies go to their new home at 8 weeks old.

  2. All of our puppies are raised with Puppy Culture protocols.

  3. We offer a 2-year health guarantee for hips, elbows, heart and eyes*. 

  4. Our puppies are Golden Retrievers and come with their AKC Limited Registration Application, unless otherwise agreed upon.  Limited Registration means you can register your puppy as a pet with the AKC but they are under a Spay/Neuter Contract.  Your dog cannot produce any litters. 

  5. Both of the puppy’s parents are registered with the AKC, have had proper health clearances and genetic testing.

  6. We require a non-refundable $500.00 deposit after the birth of puppy. 

  7. Full puppy purchase price is due by puppy pick up.  If paying by bank check, we must receive payment in full, 5 days prior to scheduled pick up.  We will only accept cash or cashier’s check on the day of pick up.

BREEDER AGREES:

  1. Breeder guarantees that puppy has had proper care to date and has been checked by our veterinarian. Puppy has had first vaccinations and has been dewormed. Shot records will be provided at time of purchase.

  2. If within 5 days of receiving the puppy he/she is examined by a reputable veterinarian and the health of the puppy is found to be at serious risk due to a congenital defect (existing at birth), owner shall notify breeder and provide a written statement from a licensed vet describing puppy’s condition and shall return the puppy and papers to the breeder within one week of examination.  Breeder will replace puppy or refund the full price of the puppy as long as puppy is in the same condition mentally and physically as it originally was at time of purchase.  This does not include worms, coccidiosis, giardia or any other parasite as they are common in puppies and dogs.  Breeder is not responsible for any communicable disease that puppy contracts after leaving breeders possession.  Breeder assumes no responsibility for veterinarian costs.

  3. *2-year hip, elbow, heart and eye guarantee- We do not require you to purchase a dog food, vitamin or supplement from us.  Here’s what we do ask: Feed your dog a high quality dog food.  We feed our adult dogs: Life's Abundance All Life Stages.  We feed our puppies: Life's Abundance Large Breed Puppy.  Keep in mind you should never feed your puppy grain free food, as it has been linked to DCM in dogs. 

  4. *Breeder offers 2-year hip and elbow guarantee on any puppy found to have moderate or severely affected hip or elbow dysplasia.  The following is required: The puppy must have an x-ray by your veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis and it must be documented by an OFA official consultation.

  5. *Breeder offers 2-year heart guarantee on any puppy found to have a severe heart murmur (grade 5/6 or 6/6).  The following is required: The puppy must have a canine cardiologist perform an echocardiogram to confirm the diagnosis. 

  6. *Breeder offers 2-year guarantee on any puppy found to have a congenital eye disease.  The following is required: diagnosis by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist.

  7. ​Refund Policy: Breeder must receive a letter from a reputable veterinarian stating that in their professional opinion, the condition is congenital.  If all guarantee criteria has been met, breeder will replace puppy with a different puppy of equal value at breeder convenience OR we will refund 60 % of the original puppy purchase price – Your choice.  Breeder reserves the right to have a second opinion from our veterinarian.  We also reserve the right to acquire a DNA test to confirm that the puppy is one from our lineage.

  8. Breeder does not guarantee the following: size, color, championship or temperament of any puppy.

  9. Breeder retains the right, at their discretion, to cancel this contract at any point in time and for any reason prior to the puppy turning 8 weeks old.  In this event, breeder shall refund the buyer’s deposit within 1 week of breeder  cancellation.

  10. Breeder does not guarantee the loss of any puppy that is beyond breeder’s control.  Including, but not limited to, accidental death, sickness due to lack of vaccinations, theft or poisoning.

  11. Breeder has the right at any time, to stop breeding Golden Retrievers.  In this event, no replacement puppies will be given and this contract void.

  12. Breeder will not refund money in part or whole for anything other than what is stated in guarantee.

LIMITATIONS OF GUARANTEE:

The following list will void all guarantees:

  1. Evidence of neglect or abuse.

  2. Previous related trauma (broken bones, related injuries, etc.)

  3. Underfed or allowing your dog to become obese.

  4. Feeding dog, a grain free food. 

  5. Evidence of strenuous exercise.  Examples: No excessive fetching or retrieving, no playing on slippery floors, no treadmill, no excessive jogging/running, no extensive standing on back legs, no overuse of stairs, over exercising, etc.

  6. Early spay/neuter (prior to 2 years of age).

  7. Dog has been bred.

  8. We are not responsible for accidents, poisonings, negligence, theft or vaccine preventable diseases.

  9. This guarantee is non-transferable.  Dog must be owned by the original person/Buyer listed in this contract.

RETURNS:

If the dog purchased in this agreement needs to be returned for any reason, the buyer/owner is responsible for all veterinary charges, transportation expenses including expenses to and from airports, crate fees and airfreight charges.

BUYER AGREES:

  1. To have puppy examined within 5 days of purchase by a licensed veterinarian to validate this guarantee.  If the puppy is returned due to illness, a letter from the veterinarian is required.

  2. The puppy is not being purchased for resale and will never be sold to a person, pet shop, puppy mill or agent of the same.

  3. That buyer will return their dog to God Given Goldens if the buyer is unable or unwilling to care for their golden.  Buyer agrees that they will never surrender their dog to an animal shelter or dog rescue. 

  4. To provide all annual vet exams, follow all veterinary recommendations and proper veterinary care in addition to annual exams.

  5. Buyer is to spay/neuter their dog at two years of age.  This is a Limited Registration pet and cannot produce litters. 

  6. To provide adequate housing and care.  Buyer will either have a fenced yard or a kennel if dog will be housed outside; dog will never be left on a chain.  The buyer will groom, train and care for this dog in such a way that is considered high quality pet care/ownership.  Obedience training is suggested prior to the puppy reaching 1 year of age.

  7. Value of the dog for the purpose of this guarantee/contract is the original purchase price.  This does not include any additional prices declared by the buyer, such as travel expenses, value of a show dog or training fees.

  8. This Agreement is executed in Spokane County.  Any arbitration and/or hearings and all proceedings in connection within, will take place in Spokane County, Washington.  Any litigation, action or proceeding that is related to this Agreement or the matters within will be exclusively instituted in the courts of the State of Washington and located in Spokane County.  Each party agrees to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and arbitration in any litigation, action or proceeding.   Breeder is not responsible for any associated costs.
